Elise Fitzsimmons

Elise Fitzsimmons started her first season as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in 2012-13. The East Rochester, N.Y. native came to the Lakers after serving as the head athletic trainer at SUNY Cobleskill for four years.
 
While with the Fighting Tigers, Fitzsimmons was the lone athletic trainer for 20 varsity sports providing day-to-day coverage of practice and events. Her sport coverage responsibilities included soccer, cross country, volleyball, equestrian, swimming and diving, basketball, track and field, baseball, softball, lacrosse, and tennis. In addition, she established rehabilitation programs along with teaching “Care & Prevention of Athletic Injuries” to all students seeking a Physical Education degree or coaching certification.
 
Prior to working at SUNY Cobleskill, Fitzsimmons served as an athletic trainer at East Rochester High School from 2004-08 where she attended practices and games and provided rehabilitation for football, soccer, wrestling, lacrosse, basketball and track and field student-athletes. During her time at East Rochester High School, she also worked as an athletic trainer for the Rochester Raiders Arena Football team.
 
Fitzsimmons earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training and Clinical Management from Bowling Green State University in 2002 and a Master of Science degree in Sport Psychology from Capella University in 2011. She is certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification with a New York State license, NASM-PES, is a OneTeam Facilitator through the NCAA, a QPR Facilitator, and also possesses her CPR/AED Professional Rescuer and Lifeguard Certification.
