Curtis Merrick Jr. was hired by Oswego State in the winter of 2017 as an assistant coach for the track and field teams.
Merrick is currently a physical education teacher in the North Syracuse Central School District. He earned his Bachelor of Science from Cortland in 1998 and his Masters of Science in education from Cortland in 2005.
While at Cortland, Merrick participated in indoor and outdoor track, as well as football. Prior to Cortland, Merrick participated in the same sports at Brockport. He received All-Conference honors in the triple jump, high hurdles and long jump for indoor track in 1994, and earned the same honors in the triple jump and high hurdles for outdoor track that same year.
Merrick currently resides in Liverpool with his wife, Bonna, and sons, Curt and Christopher.
