Oswego, N.Y. – Katie Bott of the women’s track and field team has been named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 2, 2014.

The men’s and women’s track and field teams competed at the SUNYAC Championship hosted by The College at Brockport on Saturday. The women’s team racked up 19 points within 60 minutes of scoring, with Bott leading the team with an astonishing school-record breaking fourth place finish in the 400 (59.08).

With an event time of 2:19.29, Bott took home her first SUNYAC Championship in the 800.

The quartet reset their own school record in the 4x400 when Bott, Marissa Pariseau, Kristen Harrigan, and Valeria Kudinov took fourth with a hard earned time of 4:02.82.

Bott and the Lakers will return to action at 11 a.m. on Friday when they travel to Boston, Mass. for the ECAC Championship.
