OSWEGO, N.Y. - Kenny Neil of the men's ice hockey team has been named Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on November 2, 2014.

Neil helped the Lakers secure two key wins against SUNYAC opponents this weekend, racking up four points in the process.

In the weekend's first game, Neil scored the game-winning goal in the final minute of regulation to give Oswego the 4-3 edge over Buffalo State. The sophomore recorded a power-play goal earlier in the game as well.

Neil continued to be an offensive threat in Saturday's match-up with Fredonia. The Clarenville native  picked up another goal and an assist to help the Lakers cruise to a 10-2 win against the Blue Devils.

Men's ice hockey will return to the ice at 7 p.m.  this Saturday for its home opener where the team will face Cortland.
