OSWEGO, N.Y. – Olivia Ellis of the women’s ice hockey team has been named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week of the week ending on November 30, 2014.

Ellis had two goals against Hamilton on Tuesday, propelling the team to a 2-1 win and increasing its win streak to three straight.

The Wilcox Saskatchewan native equalized the game with her first goal, poking the puck away from a defender and beating the goalie over her right shoulder late in the second period. Ellis then secured the game winner after scooping up a loose rebound and lifting the puck over Hamilton’s tender with 5:52 left in regulation.

Women’s ice hockey returns to action at 7 p.m. on Friday when they travel to Neumann University to take on the Knights.
