OSWEGO, N.Y. Alexa Aramburu of the women's ice hockey team has been named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending on February 8, 2015.
Aramburu had six points in a 2-0 home-and-home against William Smith this weekend.
The sophomore more than doubled her goals on the year, recording four between the two games. In Friday's away contest, Aramburu scored Oswego's fourth goal, adding insurance to a 3-2 lead. She also notched an assist on the first goal as well. In the follwing day's game, Aramburu recorded her first ever hat-trick, helping Oswego defeat the Herons 5-1. The Glen Rock native also picked up an assist for four points on the afternoon.
Women's ice hockey returns to action this weekend as they host Stevenson University for a two-game home series, starting with a contest at 7 p.m. on Friday.
