Oswego State Athletics

OSWEGO, N.Y. -  Derek Brown of the men’s ice hockey team was named Oswego State Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 20.

Brown secured an impressive hat-trick for the Lakers at their season-opening matchup Saturday night. 

The Peoria, Ariz. native scored the first goal of the night for Oswego, while adding one more in the first period. The senior would finish off the scoring with a 3rd period power-play goal. The Lakers defeated Carleton Place 9-1.

Brown and the Lakers return to action at 7 p.m. on Saturday as they host Nazareth for an exhibition matchup.
