OSWEGO, N.Y. - Ashley Lyman of the softball team has been named the Oswego State Female Atlhete of the Week for the week ending on March 15, 2015.
Lyman's performance at the plate was instramental in softball's first win of the 2015 season.
In the Lakers 8-4 win against Plattsburgh on Sunday, the sophomore really shined, knocking in six RBI and scoring one run herself. During that game, she also picked up two extra-base hits (DB, HR). Lyman ended the four-game stretch batting .500 (5-for-10) and picking up seven RBI.
Softball will continue its Spring Break trip in Florida at 12 p.m. on Monday as the team takes on Washington and Jefferson College.
