OSWEGO, N.Y. - Josh Maiolo of the men's track and field teams has been named the Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the ending on April 19, 2015.

Maiolo started off the competition for the Lakers as he took down a nearly 44 year old school record in the long jump. His mark of 6.83 meters eclipsed the previous school record of 6.79 set in 1971 by Joe Rotelli. The senior would go on to take sixth in the event.

Men's track and field will return to action on Saturday at St. John Fisher in Rochester for the Cardinal Classic. This will also mark the teams last tune up before the SUNYAC Championships kick off the championship phase of their season on April 30th and May 1 in Brockport.
