OSWEGO, N.Y. -- Dylan McCarthy of the Oswego men's cross-country team has been selected as the Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 27, 2015.

McCarthy placed 12th overall, pacing the Lakers to a fourth place finish (out of 24 teams) at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational, hosted by Roberts Wesleyan College.

With a time of 26:08.4 in the 8K race, the Liverpool native set a new freshman record. McCarthy also ran the fourth fastest time in Oswego State history.

The Lakers will be back in action at 11 a.m. on Saturday when it travels to Geneseo where the Knights will host the Pre-Regional Meet.
