OSWEGO, N.Y. - Alison Nunziato of the women's basketball team has been named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending on Dec. 13, 2015.
Nunziato had a career day on Tuesday as the team defeated Cazenovia College 74-57 in its sole game of the week.
In 35 minutes of play, the junior guard went 9-for-15 from the field (including 5-for-10 from beyond the ark) and a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe. The 29 points were her most ever in a Laker uniform.
Aside from the scoring, Nunziato filled out the scoresheet collecting eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks, including a stuff on a Wildcat breakaway oppurtunity.
Women's basketball returns to action after the winter break, as it takes to the court at 2 p.m. on Jan. 2 for an away bout against Nazareth College.
