OSWEGO, N.Y. – Kevin O’Donnell of the men’s lacrosse team has been named the Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 11.
O’Donnell posted a .667 save percentage in two road games at Ithaca and Morrisville State during the week. First, against then-No. 16 Ithaca, the freshman made 21 saves, which was the most saves by a Laker goalie in at least five seasons.
The Cleveland, Ohio native followed up by earning a 9-6 victory over Morrisville on Saturday. O’Donnell made nine in the contest, again playing all 60 minutes in the net.
In the two games, O’Donnell allowed a total of only 20 goals. O’Donnell also helped his team by collecting four ground balls.
Next, O’Donnell and the Lakers will head home as they host St. John Fisher at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
