OSWEGO, N.Y. - Alexa Aramburu of the women’s ice hockey team has been named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending on Jan. 24, 2016.
Aramburu had four points this week as Oswego went 2-2, defeating Morrisville twice before falling to Plattsburgh twice.
In the 4-1 win over the Mustangs on Tuesday, Aramburu assisted on the eventual game-winning goal 8:29 into the first period. She racked the rest of her points in the 6-1 victory against Morrisville on Wednesday. The junior collected two goals, including the game-winner and also picked up an assist on the way.
The Glen Rock, N.J. native currently has 10 points on the season, tying her for second-most on the squad.
Women’s hockey returns to action at 4 p.m. on Friday as the team travels to Buffalo State to take on the Bengals in a two-game ECAC West show down.
