Jacquelin White of the women’s ice hockey team was named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 13.
During Saturday’s game against Cortland, White scored her first goal of the game with less than a minute gone in the third period, knotting the game at one. With the game tied 1-1, the freshman scored the game-winning goal halfway through the third, giving the nationally-ranked Lakers a 2-1 victory. With her two goal performance, she now is leading the Lakers in goals with six on the season.
In the Lakers second game versus Cortland on Sunday, the Royal Oak, Mich. native, tallied her second assist on the season on the Lakers game-winning-goal.
White now has a point streak of six games, scoring or assisting in all of the team’s games played this season.
Women’s ice hockey returns to the rink at 3 p.m. on Saturday as they travel to Plattsburgh to take on the No. 1 Cardinals.
