Shauna O’Flaherty of the volleyball team has been named Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 1.

O’Flaherty was a major contributor in Oswego’s 3-2 victory over Keuka College on
Wednesday, Sept. 27. The sophomore ranked near the top of three categories in Wednesday’s match, also leading the Lakers in hitting percentage with .333.

With 12 digs, five blocks and a team-leading nine kills, O’Flaherty turned in an impressive all-around performance for the Lakers. The Garrison, N.Y.  native helped Oswego claim its seventh victory of the year.

Volleyball next plays on the road at Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y. at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
