OSWEGO, N.Y. - Colin Greenseich of the men’s cross country team has been named the Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 15. Competing within a 17-team field at the Yellowjacket Invitational on Saturday, Greenseich’s showing helped Oswego claim a spot above twelve other competing teams, at fifth place.
Finishing in fourth place in the Men’s 8000m, out of more than 200 runners, Greenseich led the Lakers with a time of 26:17.7, and a mile pace of 6:42.2. This is Greenseich’s 28th appearance in the top 10 of a competition while representing the Lakers.
The Yellowjacket Invitational marks the third competition of the season that Colin Greenseich has placed in the top five. The senior, along with the rest of the Lakers cross-country team now look to their next challenge, the SUNYAC Championship on Saturday, Oct. 28 in Potsdam, N.Y.
