OSWEGO, N.Y. -  Tyler Nason of the men’s lacrosse team has been named the Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on April 29. A senior, Nason led his program to a 13-10 victory over Potsdam on Senior Day to help Oswego clinch a spot in the SUNYAC Championship.

    The Bohemia, N.Y. native led the Lakers in points throughout the day with six, posting four goals in the first half as he would eventually double his previous goals career-high (3). During his final game in Oswego, the senior would provide the best offensive game of his collegiate career.

    As he led the team in shots as well with 14, Nason capped off his last afternoon at home scoring his fifth goal for Oswego in the game to bring the Lakers out in front at 10-9 with just over five minutes left. Tallying his sixth and final goal with just under three minutes left, Oswego gained some insurance before ultimately finishing at 13-10 in their last regular season matchup of the campaign.

                    Nason and the Lakers enter the SUNYAC Championship Semifinals at 4 p.m. on Wednesday playing against No. 1 Cortland in Cortland, N.Y.
