OSWEGO, N.Y. – Liz Myers – of the women’s soccer team – was named Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 14.
The freshman notched the game-winning goal in the Lakers’ 3-2 double-overtime win at Buffalo State on Friday. Myers’ goal came just after the 100th minute of the game, as she was able to collect a Lynsey Roth long ball at the post, before beating the Bengal keeper.
The Monroe, N.Y. native had a total of three points in the contest, as she also assisted on the first Oswego tally of the game, when she crossed the ball from the left corner to a waiting Mackenzie Schaffner.
Myers and the Lakers return to action on Tuesday as they travel to Canton for their last road contest of the season, slated to being at 5 p.m.
