OSWEGO, N.Y. – Chris Gayvert – of the men’s tennis team – was named Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Mar. 10.

The Fairport, N.Y. native swept his opponent from Elmira College, 6-2, 6-1, earning the Lakers’ fourth team point in Oswego’s 6-3 team victory on Saturday.

The senior then combined with sophomore Alex Mintz for another victory in doubles, defeating their foes 8-5.

Gayvert and the Lakers travel to Hilton Head, S.C. for three matches over spring break, beginning with a contest against Stevenson University on Tuesday, Mar. 12.
