OSWEGO, N.Y. – Freshman Shania Iglesias- of the women's basketball team - has been named Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 12.

Iglesias led the Lakers with 17 points and nine rebounds while giving Oswego a chance to earn a tough road victory at Fredonia on Saturday.  She had 16 points by the end of the third quarter as the Lakers closed a 13-point deficit to one heading into the fourth quarter before the Blue Devils pulled away.

The women's basketball team returns to action on January 3 when they host Alfred State at 12 p.m. in Max Ziel.
