OSWEGO, N.Y. – Twyla Nastasia - of the women's swim and dive team - has been named Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 30.
Nastasia helped Oswego to a 2-0 week with wins over Buffalo State and Potsdam. Against the Bengals, Nastasia took top honors in the 200-yard freestyle (2:05.84), 500-yard freestyle (5:40.34), and swam the second leg of the winning 200-yard freestyle relay team (1:45.51).
In the 172-95 win over Potsdam, Nastasia won the100-yard backstroke (1:04.95), 200-yard backstroke (2:21.54), 1,000-yard freestyle (11:27.14) and was in the winning 200-yard freestyle relay team (1:47.74).
The Lakers are back in action at the SUNYAC Championships from Feb. 16-19 in Buffalo.
