OSWEGO, N.Y. – Jamal Achille - of the Men's Basketball team - has been named Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 6.

Achille posted a 17-point, 12-rebound double-double in Oswego's 82-73 NCAA Championship First Round victory over Hood College on Friday. The Staten Island native returned to the court on Saturday to drop 22 points on Keene State in the 84-63 win to help the Lakers advance to their third Sweet 16 in the past six seasons.

Oswego plays at 7 p.m. on Friday against No. 2 Marietta on the Pioneers' home court for a spot in the national quarterfinals.
