The Oswego State Lakers improved their record to 8-10 and 3-3 in the SUNYAC on Thursday, dominating SUNYIT in three straight games. 

The Lakers started off slowly in the first game, finding themselves tied at 12, but rallied and never looked back. Oswego ended the first game with 18 unanswered points, setting the tone of what was to come. Game two was won 30-14 with the Lakers dominating the offensive net. The Lakers sealed the match in the third with another convincing 30-18 win.

Oswego State was led by the outstanding hitting of sophomore Breanna Scholla (Oswego, NY/Oswego), who finished the game with a team high 13 kills. Senior Whitney Lash (Lockport, NY/Mt. Saint Mary) contributed 7 kills while freshman Shannon Hennigan (Eden, NY/Eden) facilitated the hitting expo with 32 assists. 

The Lakers will be in action again this weekend when they travel to St. Lawrence for the St. Lawrence Invitational.
