The Cortland Red Dragons defeated Oswego State in three games in a volleyball match Tuesday at Max Ziel Gymnasium in Oswego. The game scores were 30-20, 30-25, 30-23.

Oswego State achieved only a five percent hitting percentage with 33 kills and 27 errors on the night. Cortland recorded six blocks and pulled away during the late stages of each game. Setter Shannon Hennigan led the Lakers with 12 kills and 16 assists. Heidi Armstrong added 10 kills. Samantha Pickering had 11 digs.

Cortland's Daina Marsh led the Red Dragons with 11 kills in the match. Kelsey Muka had nine kills, and Tiffany Chatman and Michelle Gaufman each had seven kills. Brittney Horton had 35 assists in the match, and Lindsay Snow had 16 digs.

Cortland is now 20-9 on the season while the Lakers fell to 14-9 and saw a five-match winning streak end. The Lakers host the Oswego State Invitational on Friday and Saturday and welcome St. Lawrence, Plattsburgh, Hartwick, and Gallaudet to Ziel Gymnasium.
