The Oswego State women's soccer team picked up its first win of the season with a 1-0 victory over the Wildcats of SUNYIT on Saturday afternoon at Laker Soccer Field in Oswego.
Senior Fallanne DeLong scored the only goal of the game in the middle of the first half, and it held up in the Lakers' victory. DeLong's goal was assisted by Julie McCloskey and Kelly Spagnoli who worked the ball from the right side, allowing DeLong to flick a shot over the keeper.
Oswego State is now 1-5-0 overall and 1-0-0 in the SUNYAC, making SUNYIT 1-6-0 overall and 0-2-0 in the SUNYAC. The Lakers will play their next four games on the road, and will return home for a game against Fredonia on Oct. 6 at 4 p.m.
