The Oswego State volleyball team had two wins and two losses in conference play after the opening weekend of SUNYAC West Division pool play at Buffalo State.

The Lakers began play on Friday evening with a four-game win over Geneseo. Oswego State won 30-25, 30-23, 27-30, 30-22. Breanne Scholla had 13 kills and 11 digs, Shannon Hennigan had 33 assists and 11 kills, and Samantha Pickering had 13 digs and 7 blocks.

Oswego State then defeated Buffalo State 30-12, 30-17, 30-14. Heidi Armstrong had 8 digs and 5 blocks, Scholla had 9 kills and 3 aces, and Hennigan had 20 assists and 8 kills.

Saturday's action saw Oswego State lose in four games to Fredonia: 30-20, 27-30, 30-25, 30-23. The Lakers then lost to Brockport in three games, 30-26, 30-27, 30-19.

Oswego State plays at SUNYIT on Wednesday and competes in the Hamilton Quad Tournament next weekend.
