The Oswego State wrestling team lost 31-9 at Brockport on Thursday.

The meet started with the 174-pound bout and Brockport won that by tech fall, and the 184-pound bout by pin to take a quick 11-0 lead in the meet.

The Lakers rallied with a pair of wins by decision. Matt Gough defeated Brockport's Rob Northup 5-3 at 197 pounds, and in the heavyweight bout Eric Leusch out-pointed Jabril Patterson 2-0.

Oswego State's only other bout winner was Derrick Smith at 141 pounds. He won a 7-0 decision over John Bonaldi.

The Lakers return to Max Ziel Gymnasium Saturday for their final home dual of the year. Oswego State hosts Oneonta at noon.
