Oswego, NY – SUNY Oswego men's Wrestler Avery Canzano has been named to the 2025-2026 National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III Scholar All American Team.  

Canzano compiled a 32-10 overall record during his sophomore campaign which included a 7th place finish at the NCAA Region 2 Championships.  Competing at 184 pounds, Canzano claimed the NYS Fr/So Championship, finished second at the Ithaca College Invitational and fourth at the RIT Invitational.  
 
In order to qualify for this honor an individual must meet the following criteria: Place in top 8 in the regional tournament or compete in at least 15 matches and have a win percentage greater than 66%.  Academically a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average above a 3.2 or have a GPA of 3.2 over the last two semesters.
