The Oswego State wrestling team lost all four of its dual meets this weekend at the Budd Whitehill Duals, hosted by Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pa. The tournament field of 20 included 10 nationally-ranked teams.
In Friday's opening day of action, the Lakers lost to three ranked teams, falling 39-6 against No. 20 Wisconsin-Whitewater, 25-15 against No. 10 Ithaca, and 38-15 against No. 22 John Carroll. Saturday afternoon, the Lakers were defeated 24-21 by Thiel College.
Cameron Mills and Jake Taylor led the way individually for the Lakers. Mills, wrestling at 165 pounds, won three of his four bouts on the weekend with the three victories all coming by pin. Taylor, Oswego State's heavyweight, also went 3-1 with three wins by fall. Mike Howard also earned a pinfall victory at 149, and Ron Williams (197) was 2-2 on the weekend with Jared Teal (184) getting a win and a loss.
The Lakers are now 1-7 in dual meets this year. Complete meet results are listed below, and the rest of the tournament action can be followed at the tournament's Web site.
