The Oswego State volleyball team was looking for its first multi-match win streak of the season in travelling to Keuka College on Wednesday, Oct. 1, but the Lakers could not hold to late leads throughout each set in taking a 25-23, 25-22, 25-23 loss to the host Storm.

Freshman Jessica Isgro (Brockport) compiled seven kills, seven digs, and three service aces, while senior co-captain Amanda Cipriano (Solvay) added six kills, three aces, and 14 digs to pace Oswego (8-13) Senior co-captain Beth Widzinski (Amherst/Williamsville North) collected 17 digs, while freshman Katie VanKessel (Milbrook) dished out 20 assists to go with 12 digs, three kills, two aces, and two blocks.

The Lakers will remain on the road for a two-day quadrangular match at Elmira College, opening with an 8 p.m. match with D'Youville College on Friday, Oct. 3, then facing St. Lawrence University (11 a.m.) and host Elmira (1 p.m.) in back-to-back matches the following day.
