Sophomore Kristen Hemingway (Manlius/Fayetteville-Manlius) teamed with junior Katie Keller (Hamburg/Frontier) for an 8-3 victory at first  doubles to lead The College at Brockport tennis team to a dominating 8-1 victory over Oswego State on Friday afternoon at Brockport.

Brockport (4-4) won all three doubles matches and each of the top four singles matches before adding a close victory at No. 6 singles for the 8-1 victory. The win was the first in nearly a month after four losses, two cancellations and a suspended match through the last three weeks of September.

Hemingway won her 16th straight singles match in dual competition with a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles, handing Oswego junior Tiarra Garrow (Morrisonville/National Sports Academy, her first loss of the year. Garrow came into the match with a 7-0 record.  Erin McLaughlin (Scotia/Scotia-Glenville) and Ally Kozlowski (Alden) teamed for an 8-1 win at second doubles and each scored straight sets victories at second and third singles action respectively. Keller added a 6-1, 6-1 victory at fourth  singles for Brockport before Senior Sarajean Marhone (Hollis/Bayside) snapped her two-match losing string with the lone Oswego victory.

Dana Schulte (Batavia, NY/Batavia) won a close 7-5 victory in the first set at sixth singles before cruising to a 6-1 win in the second set for the straight sets win.
