Oswego State registered a pair of falls and a decision, but the College of Brockport registered two technical falls and a forefeit in winning the remaining seven matches en route to a 25-15 victory in an Empire Colllegiate Wrestling Conference dual on Wednesday, Jan. 21 at Brockport.

 The Lakers jumped out to a 15-5 lead in winning three of the opening four matches as freshman Scott McGregor (Tonawanda) scored a fall at 125 pounds, defeating Brockport's Shawn Hainey at 2:22, and senior captain Derrick Smith (Mexico) pinned Josh Bellinger in 6:16 at 141 pounds, Freshman Blake Fisher (Seaford) registered a 4-1 decision at 149 pounds, defeating Reece Mariacher of Brockport. The Golden Eagles took over by taking the final six matches, six coming by decision to go with a technical fall at 184 pounds and a forefeit win at 197 pounds.

   Oswego host Oneonta State in its final home dual match of the 2008-09 season on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 12 p.m. at Max Ziel Gymnasium.
