The Oswego State volleyball team erased a two-set deficit for the third time in the last four matches, but was unable to complete the comeback as it fell to Utica 3-2 (23-25, 15-25, 25-18, 25-20, 12-15) on Wednesday night in Utica.
Sophomore outside hitter Jess Isgro (Brockport, N.Y.) posted a career-high 24 kills for her third consecutive double-digit kill match and added 13 digs. Cassandra Lembo (So., Oneonta, N.Y.) and Alyssa Brock (Sr., Pine Bush, N.Y.) contributed 12 and seven kills, respectively.
Junior setter Liz Crouch (Honeoye Falls, N.Y.) distributed 39 assists, while Kelsey Ihle (Fr., Clarence Center, N.Y.) led the team with a season-high 25 digs.
The Lakers, who fell to 4-9 overall, begin SUNYAC competition on Friday when they travel to Brockport for two days of conference pool play.
