The Laker women's tennis team erased a 2-1 deficit in doubles play, but was unable to claim the final decisive point in singles as it lost to Fredonia 5-4 in Oswego on a blustery Saturday afternoon.
Tiarra Garrow (Sr., Morrisonville, N.Y.) and Jenna Wehn (Jr., Gloversville, N.Y.) gave the Lakers a 3-2 lead after Garrow posted a 6-1, 6-0 win at #1 singles and Wehn recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win at #2 singles. However, Fredonia won three of the four remaining singles matches, including at the #3 spot where Christine Burkhart (Canandaigua, N.Y.) lost the super tiebreaker 13-11 after splitting the previous two sets.
