With the score tied at 12-12 heading into the final two matches, Oneonta recorded a pin at 197 pounds to defeat the Oswego State wrestling team 18-15 on Saturday afternoon in Oneonta. The Lakers' Blake Fisher (So., Seaford, N.Y.) posted a come-from-behind win at 149 pounds when he scored a three-point near fall in the final 30 seconds for a 6-4 victory. The Lakers dipped to 3-8 in dual meet competition, while the Red Dragons improved to 9-6.

Other victories for Oswego State came from Paul Slaver (So., Fulton, N.Y.) at 125 pounds in a 10-4 decision over Derek Conant.  In the 157-pound weight class, Nick Rodgers (Jr., Owego, N.Y.) defeated David Staulters 5-2.  The final two Laker victories came at 165 and 285 pounds, as Tony DeFranco (Jr., Adams, N.Y.) won 3-0 and Eric Leusch (Sr., Rochester, N.Y.) won 6-1, respectively.

Oswego State kicks off a three-meet homestand at Max Ziel Gymnasium on Wednesday night when it faces Cortland at 7 p.m.
