The Oswego State women's tennis team closed out its fall schedule with a tough 5-4 loss to visiting Elmira on Wednesday at Romney Tennis Courts. The Lakers took a 2-1 lead after the completion of doubles play with wins at No. 2 doubles from
Kelly Corwin and
Sylwia Stopka and at No. 3 doubles from
Liza Nathan-Serio and
Rachel Rigney. However, the Soaring Eagles came back for the win with wins at first through fourth singles.
Corwin splits sets against Elyse Colby at the No. 5 spot, but won the supertiebreaker 10-6.
Christine Ripple also wrapped up a solid fall season by defeating Micah Moskoff in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4. Oswego State fell to 2-10 overall.
