The Laker women's tennis team opened the first round of SUNYAC pool play with a 9-0 loss to host Fredonia on Friday.
Lauren MacHose started her match at No. 1 singles with a 6-4 win in the first set before Anna Norris took the second set by an identical score and the supertiebreaker 10-8. MacHose along with doubles partner
Nicole Leader nearly defeated Norris and Calee Prindle at No. 1 doubles by the score of 8-6. The Lakers moved to 0-2 overall and in the league.
Oswego State will continue pool play against Brockport tomorrow in Fredonia at 2:30 p.m.
