The Oswego State women's tennis provided ample drama at the bottom half of singles play against Plattsburgh, but it would not be enough as the Lakers fell 8-1 on Friday.
Christine Ripple came away with the lone Oswego State point at No. 6 singles over Caitlin Belladone. Ripple took the first set, 7-5, but dropped the second set, 6-1. She regrouped in the supertiebreaker to win 10-7. The Lakers, who will travel to Wells on Monday, fell to 0-6 overall, while Plattsburgh improved to 3-3.
