The Oswego State women's tennis team took eighth place at the SUNYAC Championships following a 9-0 loss to Brockport on Saturday and a 7-2 loss to Fredonia on Sunday at the Eastside Racquet Club in Manlius.  Kelly Corwin (Jr., Rochester, N.Y.) and Christine Ripple (Sr., Johnstown, N.Y.) picked up wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively, in a pro-set scoring format to account for the Lakers' points. 

In Saturday's consolation semifinal contest against Brockport, Nicole Leader (So., Baldwinsville, N.Y.) battled at No. 1 singles against MacKenzie Rounds, but fell 6-2, 11-9 as the Lakers fell to 1-13 overall as they wrapped up the traditional fall season.
