Stephanie Bailey and Lauren Weaver tallied 11 and 10 kills, respectively, to help the Oswego State volleyball team defeat Utica, 3-1 (27-25, 28-30, 25-14, 25-20), to avenge a loss just five days earlier on Wednesday night in Utica.  The Laker defense came up big during the match as it frustrated the Pioneer hitters with 77 digs to improve to 3-8 on the season.  Oswego State will carry this momentum into SUNYAC Pool Play this weekend in Buffalo.

In addition to Bailey and Weaver reaching double figures in the kill column, Meaghan Puff and Kim Grice recorded six apiece.  Setter Katie Kietzmann handed out 23 assists, while Sam Manicone paced the back row effort with 21 digs followed by 15 from Grice.

The Lakers and Utica (1-12) will square off again on October 1 at the SUNY Canton Triangular.
