The Oswego State volleyball team suffered two 3-0 setbacks to Fredonia and Buffalo State on the final day of the first round of SUNYAC Pool Play at Buffalo.  The Lakers lost to the Blue Devils, 25-12, 25-7, 25-18, and the Bengals, 25-14, 25-15, 25-18, to fall to 3-12 overall and 0-4 in the conference standings.

Stephanie Bailey finished with six kills, one solo block, and three block assists to pace Oswego State against Fredonia.  Danielle Groat was second on the squad in kills with four.  Samantha Manicone finished with 12 digs, while Kara Michelsen handed out six assists in the first match of the day.

In the final match of the afternoon, Meaghan Puff and Bailey tallied five kills apiece against host Buffalo State, while Puff added a team-high 14 digs.  Michelsen finished with ten assists.

The Lakers return to their home court for a match against Cazenovia on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Max Ziel Gymnasium.
