Lauren Stall and
Christine Ripple provided wins at the bottom of the lineup for the Oswego State women's team, but the Lakers were unable to overcome St. John Fisher in a 7-2 loss at Pittsford. Ripple picked up her fifth win of the season by defeating Lauren Burke in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, at the No. 6 position. Stall got out to a quick start at No. 5 singles against Kimberly Phimsipasom winning the first set 6-0, but was pushed to a third-set tiebreak where she won 11-9.
The Lakers, who will host Plattsburgh on Saturday at 1 p.m., dropped to 1-9 overall, while the Cardinals improved to 3-4.
