OSWEGO, N.Y. - Sophomore
Lauren Stall (Williamsville, N.Y.) earned the lone point for the Oswego State women's tennis team (0-4, 0-2 SUNYAC) in an 8-1 loss at Fredonia on Saturday.
Stall lost a hotly contested first set, 7-5, before fighting back to take the second set 6-3. The sophomore prevailed, 10-8, in a third-set supertiebreaker. Both
Kelly Corwin (Sr., Rochester, N.Y.) and
Haley Miller (So., Springwater, N.Y.) fell in close three-setters at fourth and fifth singles, respectively.
Corwin teamed up with
Olivia Knierman (So., Fulton, N.Y.) at third doubles and the duo fought until the end, but lost a 9-7 decision.
The Lakers are back at home on Tuesday at 4 p.m. when they match up with Wells.
