GENESEO, N.Y. - The Oswego State women's tennis team (0-2, 0-1 SUNYAC) suffered a 9-0 loss to reigning SUNYAC champion Geneseo (2-0, 1-0 SUNYAC) in the opening conference match for both squads on Thursday afternoon.
Nicole Leader (Jr., Baldwinsville, N.Y.) played in the most competitive match of the day at No. 1 singles, but was bested by Mare Santos, 6-2, 6-3. At second doubles, 
Hannah Rawlings (So., Ithaca, N.Y.) and 
Lauren Stall (So., Williamsville, N.Y.) fell to Amanda Rosati and Sarah Shields, 8-2, in the tightest doubles match.
Oswego State will host Cortland next Thursday at Romney Tennis Courts with the match slated to start at 4 p.m.
