OSWEGO, N.Y. - The Oswego State wrestling team (3-6) wrapped up competition at the Budd Whitehill Duals with a 20-18 loss to John Carroll and a 34-6 loss to Thiel on Saturday.

In the first match of the day versus John Carroll, each team traded victories at each weight class until John Carroll won back-to-back bouts at 174 and 184 pounds to go ahead 20-12. Andrew Cole (Fr., Uniondale, N.Y.) and Jake DeBuyser (Fr., Rochester, N.Y.) recorded consecutive wins to end the match, but both decisions were unable to erase the deficit.

Against Thiel, Blake Fisher (Sr., Seaford, N.Y.) and Andrew Cole posted the lone victories at 165 and 197 pounds, respectively.

It was the final competition before the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference Championships hosted by Cortland on Saturday, January 19.
