BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's tennis team dropped its first match of the SUNYAC Championship quarterfinals Friday, losing to SUNY New Paltz, 5-0.
 
New Paltz won all three doubles matches, 8-0, 8-1 and 8-1.
 
Jessica Schmidt of the Hawks beat the Laker Haley Miller (6-0, 6-2) while Elizabeth Palmer beat Oswego's Leslie Usherwood (6-0, 6-1).
 
 The Lakers play again tomorrow as the conference resumes Championship play.
