Rochester, N.Y. – The wrestling team lost its first dual match of the season Saturday, falling to Rochester Institute of Technology 18-13.
 
James Ronca won by major decision against Andrew Flanagan (13-4) at 125. Scott Bova beat Tyler Brent at 184 in a 3-2 decision.
 
Andrew Cole returned to the mat for the Lakers after suffering an injury at the Ithaca Invitational. Cole defeated Tim Thurnau 8-1 in the 197-weight class.
 
Branden Jones topped Eddie McBride at 285, 2-1.
 
The Lakers will return to action at 9 a.m. on Sunday when they travel to Ithaca to wrestle in the N.Y. State Collegiate Championships Hosted by Cornell.
