Oswego, NY -- The Oswego State men's soccer team gave up a late goal to fall to Alfred University on Saturday afternoon at Laker Field.   The game was the last contest in the Oswego State Men's Soccer Tournament. With the loss, the Lakers fall to 0-1-1 on the season while Alfred improves to 1-1-0.

Ryan Tibbetts was honored with an All-Tournament team selection after his goal against Houghton College on Friday night.

In the first half, freshmen Jon Runge had four saves shutting down the Saxons' attack.  Oswego's defense was composed throughout the entire period, playing a tough, physical style.
 
Although both teams played aggressive and stayed even in the second half, each with 5 shots and 3 corner kicks, Alfred ended up finding a goal with less than 10 minutes remaining in the game. 

The Lakers will return to action when they travel to Hamilton at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
