Oswego, N.Y. -- The Oswego State women's tennis team dropped a SUNYAC contect 9-0 at The College at Brockport on Friday evening. With the loss, the Lakers are set back to 1-4 overall on the season while dropping to 0-2 in conference play.

Jessie Flaim and Lauren Stall gave the best effort at second doubles, forcing a tie break before eventually falling 9-8 (8-6). On the singles side, Nicole Leader took a tough straight-set loss, battling back after falling 6-2 in the first set to force a tie break in the second. Leader fell just short of pushing the match to a third set, falling 7-6 (7-4) in the second set.

Oswego will return to action at 4 p.m. on Wednesday when it travels to Medon Racquet Club to take on St. John Fisher College in a nonconference matchup.
