Rochester, N.Y. -- The Oswego State volleyball team split its matches on Saturday afternoon in the University of Rochester Invitational. With the losses, the Lakers move to 3-4 on the season.
MATCH ONE BOX SCORE
Oswego faced the Continentals of Hamilton College in its first match of the game, falling in straight-games, 25-16, 27-25, 25-17.
Meaghan Puff led the Lakers with 12 digs while also having an assist. Leading Oswego in assists for the second-straight day was
Lauren Edwards with 20.
Stephanie Bailey paced the Lakers in hitting, killing nine attacks.
Emma Moriarty added five kills in the loss.
MATCH TWO BOX SCORE
In its second game of the day, Oswego took on St. John Fisher College, cruising past the Cardinals in three games. Edwards had game-highs in two categories, pacing all players with 30 assists and 11 digs. The freshman also had a service ace.
Sabrina Sutton tied for a team-high nine kills with
Megan Russell, while Sutton also led the Lakers with two aces.
Lindsey Champitto had Oswego's second-most assists with six.
Bailey again did well in the kills department, spiking eight along with teammate
Meaghan Roefs.
Oswego will return to action at 7 p.m. on Tuesday night when it hosts Morrisville State College in Max Ziel Gymnasium.
